Mark Moore owner of Scenic Landscapes, was born and raised in Visalia California. After serving in the Air Force, he went on to receive a degree in Ornamental Horticulture at the College of the Sequoias. Mark then moved to Wichita working as a groundskeeper at Terrace Gardens Nursing Home. There he met his life-long friend Dale Haury who assisted with the opening of Scenic Landscapes in 1978. First operating out of his home, Mark has grown Scenic into a multi-acre location that is outfitted and designed to offer an oasis to customers and visitors alike. Dale and Mark were able to perfect their pond building expertise at the 'Lawn, Flower, and Garden Show' where they would experiment with pond layouts and building techniques. Over the years they've adapted to new trends while also keeping the Scenic signature look.

While Mark takes full charge of pond design and customer consultations, Mark's wife, LaLana, spearheads the retail and operations side of the business. She receives all the calls, does the scheduling, the ordering, and manages  the customer service at Scenic.  As a duo, their hope is for everyone who visits Scenic to not only feel at home and relaxed amongst the ponds, plants, and animals, but to also become educated and grow in their journey as gardeners.
